Longridge and Chipping Conservatives extend an invitation to ''tell your MP what you think '' on any subject of political interest from grittting to pensions , parliamentary expenses to dog fouling and credit crunch to planning , as part of a local branch drive to connect and listen to the views of local people .
Nigel Evans MP will be joined by local councillors at Chipping Village Hall on Friday 19th March to answer questions and and discuss local and national issued that effect the Longridge and Chipping communities.
Ken Hind branch chairman commented '' So much is spoken and discussed on national televison that local people do not get the chance to speak directly to their elected representatives and get over their views. This is an open forum where all invited to put their point of view and be listened to by those who represent them at all levels.''
'' This part of a local drive to raise the voice of our communities in the councils and at Westminster and make sure our views are heard , our aspirations and aims are considered by our decision makers . We plan to be a stronger more potent voice for our area but can only do this by understanding and engaging with local people
''The evening will have a social as well as a serious policitical side , with live jazz and a bar . Anyone in addition wishing to join the local branch, become an elected representative and have a voice in the formulation of national policy through the Conservative Party nationally will be welcome to join on the night .
