Nigel Evans Opens The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s 4th International Parliamentary Governance Seminar
Nigel Evans, Member of Parliament for the Ribble Valley, today welcomed delegates to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s 4th International Parliamentary Governance Seminar in Westminster. Speaking at the seminar, Mr Evans said: “We as Parliamentarians have a lot that we can learn from each other. Parliaments, no matter how old, are constantly evolving and reforming. In the UK, the next Parliament will bring changes that will have a huge impact. Both major parties are committed to reforming the House of Lords and the Conservative Party have pledged to significantly reduce the number of MPs should they be elected. “Parliaments across the world have different resources and differing styles of governance. These seminars allow us to share in the problems that we may have faced and how we have overcome them. This is a forum for Parliamentarians to improve the service that they provide for their constituents.” For further information please contact the office of Nigel Evans on 0207 219 6939 |
