Nigel Evans Visits St John’s Ambulance Clitheroe HQ

On Saturday 5th December 2009, Nigel Evans, Member of Parliament for the Ribble Valley, visited the Clitheroe HQ of the St John’s Ambulance Service. He is pictured with Barbara Peel.
Mr Evans said,
“The Clitheroe HQ is under threat of being sold which will deprive the Clitheroe branch of a place of training and meeting purposes.
“I am contacting the Chief Executive of the St John’s Ambulance Service to stress the importance of having a base in Clitheroe.
“The St John’s Ambulance Service do a tremendous job in our area particularly in manning rural shows, fetes, football games and events throughout the Ribble Valley.
“Losing their meeting place and local HQ will put the viability of the organisation at risk.”
