Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons Nigel Evans MP has been promoting and local business by introducing a local beer from Bowland Brewery to the House of Commons .

Last night Bowland Brewery’s Sawley Tempted was the guest ale in the Strangers’ Bar in the House of Commons.

Richard Baker, owner of Bowland Brewery, enjoyed a pint along with Nigel Evans, Member of Parliament for the Ribble Valley and Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, and was able to entice many other MPs to sample a pint or two!

Crispin Blunt MP, Minister for Prisons, poured a pint for Richard and Nigel.

Nigel Evans MP said,

“I was so pleased that we were able to get Sawley Tempted as a guest ale in the Strangers’ Bar. It is a fantastic example of real ale and a very enjoyable pint! It was even better that Richard was able to come and sample it here as well as bringing it to the attention of a wider audience!

“Bowland Brewery has done fantastically well since it began and I am proud that such a good beer, brewed in the Ribble Valley, has graced the House of Commons.”
