Ribble Valley MP, Nigel Evans will formally launch the Ribble Valley Conservative Association web site at the Association’s AGM today the 13th March . The site will commence with a campaign to highlight the ‘time bomb’ of borrowing for each family of £33,000 - per voter, created by the present government’s handling of the crisis. We call for an investigation by the Serious Fraud Office of the management of the Royal Bank of Scotland over the last 5 years. Our campaign will highlight jobs losses , mortgage repossessions , loss of homes and reductions in savings over the coming months and advocate Conservative solutions under the slogan ‘Time for Change’ . The site is to be found at www.ribblevalleyconservatives.com The website is designed to promote Conservative policies in the Ribble Valley and South Ribble at all levels , provide information for the public, contact points to councillors, attract members , and encourage participation in politics . It covers the whole of the Ribble Valley including Clitheroe and Longridge. A large part of South Ribble Borough including Bamber Bridge, Farington,Lostock Hall, Coupe Green , Gregson Lane ,Tardy Gate, and Salmesbury. Chairman Ken Hind stated ‘the site is linked to a number of other sites, the Ribble Valley Borough Council where there are 30 conservative councillors , South Ribble Borough Council where we have 11 councillors in our area out of a total of 44 Conservative councillors. It is linked to the Lancashire County Council site where we are represented by County Councillors Albert Atkinson ,Chris Holtem and Mary Wilson as well as the the national Conservative site where all new policy documents and immediate Conservative responses to events can be read. The national site contains David Cameron’s blog and his comments on national events. ‘It is important to be in communication with the millions of internet users in the country.
