Ribble Valley  Pupils At The House Of Commons

Rebecca Powell and Hayley Stokes, who both attend Stoneyhurst College, pictured (on the right and left respectively) on the terrace of the House of Commons with Nigel Evans MP, have spent the past week on work experience in Nigel’s office.

Mr Evans commented,

“It is always great to have pupils from the constituency come to Westminster to experience the day to day life of politics and a politician. I hope that Rebecca and Hayley have found the week worthwhile!”

Rebecca Powell said,

“Being able to work alongside Nigel and his team has really opened my eyes to the world of politics and I would now consider politics as a possible path for my future.”

Hayley Stokes added,

“It has been such a fantastic opportunity to witness the workings of Parliament first hand, especially considering this most important week for British politics.”
