PM backs Andy’s plan to tackle crime and make Lancashire safer. The Prime Minister has given his backing to Lancashire’s Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner Candidate who he said would do an ‘outstanding job’ for constituents in the county. Andy Pratt met with David Cameron at the Lancashire Summit Meeting at Garstang Golf Club, where they discussed Andy’s plans for Lancashire, including a pledge to tackle rural crime.
Ribble Valley Conservative Association organsied a 3 day visit to London on 29th November last year. The visit included a visit to the Houses of Parliament. Over 20 association memebers and borough councillors attended the event that was hosted in Parliament by Nigel Evans. MP for South Ribble Seema Kennedy was also present.
AN £8million redevelopment scheme for Clitheroe Market featuring a 60-room hotel, restaurant, café, seven shops, 67-space car park and revamped market with a hall, 50 units, 28 cabins and 22 stalls has been officially launched.
COUNCILLORS in Ribble Valley have given the go-ahead for public consultation on the proposed Lancashire Combined Authority. A combined authority is a legal body that allows councils to work together more closely and with greater accountability.
