Councillor Langho & Billington
Tony Austin has been involved in the local community since moving to the Ribble Valley 5 years ago to be close to his wife’s family. He has been a Langho Parish Councilor for the last 4 years. He brings to the Ribble Valley a deep concern for rural areas and the experience of having been a Councilor on Canterbury City Council for 19 years where he served as Sheriff, Executive Member for Housing, and Vice Chairman of Planning. He has been a school governor, village hall trustee and set up a flood action group.
Tony is a supporter of driving the local economy to make the Borough more sustainable, attract new businesses, create jobs and to increase the income of RVBC to protect services. A priority for Tony is helping tourism whilst protecting our beautiful environment.
